Rangers sieze victory after loosing streak

cranfordrangers

After a 1-4 loss to Rudheath Social Club in mid week that put Cranford out of the title race and with six regulars sidelined through injury, the Knutsford side took on third place Ark at Manchester Road on Sunday looking to recover from their bad run of recent results. Cranford started well, and when they kept [...]

The road to defeat

On the road again. In Warrington again. Against title chasing contenders again. Knutsford completed a miserable treble of Saturday’s, goaless and fruitless they will be happy they have made their last visit to the wire town this season. Although the outcome was correct, the final scoreline was a little harsh but the Reds poor defending [...]

Rangers hit Forrest Rd. hard with an impressive win

After the disappointment of their exit from the Cheshire Cup, Cranford returned to domestic cup action on Sunday at Moss Farm against division 2 team Forest Road. With 4 changes to the side and on the small Moss Farm pitch, Cranford struggled to take control against a spirited Forest Road. Clayton opened the scoring with [...]

A bang and whimper…

KNUTSFORD exited the Cheshire League Challenge Cup at the quarter-final stage on Saturday with something of a whimper at Manchester Road. Their season has definitely been hampered with a couple of significant injuries but the loss of a true goalscorer in Steve Lunt has been sorely evident. They lacked a spark and a cutting edge [...]

Cranford Rangers report in!

cranfordrangers

Delayed for 8 weeks, Cranford finally hosted Queens Park on Sunday in front of the biggest crowd of the season at Manchester Road. Queens Park, current holders and winners of the prestigious Cheshire Cup for the past 4 years have a record unmatched in the competition and were strong favourites to reach the Quarter Finals. [...]

Dendy deliver killer blow.

Mary Dendy and Old Alts A  played out a turgid first half hour at Crosford Bridge but then ten minutes before half time the game sprang to life. Dendy striker Matty Morris dispossessed an Old Alts defender on the edge of the penalty box and somehow managed to hook the ball home over the despairing dive [...]

Dendy reports return to the Knutsford Times!

At Mary Dendy Fields , Mary Dendy took on Sandbach Town , the league leaders from the Crewe & District League. A focused Sandbach got off to a flyer scoring through Fraser Keena inside 34 seconds but Dendy were level seven minutes later when Matty Morris powered into the penalty area to fire home the [...]

A roaming draw for Dendy

Honours all even after a pulsating match which was mainly towards one end in the second half. Nomads struck first after a staggered offside trap was exposed & Martin Brunker equalised 5 minutes later with a direct free kick which the keeper fumbled into his own net. The second half was then dominated by nomads [...]

Dendy battle valiantly against a determined opposition

This was probably Nomads’ best display of the season and any neutral observer might have thought that it was the home team in second place and the visitors in ninth and not the other way round.

Dendy double.

Overall this was a game which lacked real quality football. It was a challenge for both sides, but two great pieces of football saw the game level at 1-1 at half time. Juno took the lead on 35 minutes when Tim Holland scored after great work down the left from Darren Wilson and Mark Simms. [...]
