Knutsford & District Amateur Swimming Club was founded in 1976. The Club, now known as Knutsford Vikings, is based at the Leisure Centre in Knutsford, a small town in mid-Cheshire within easy access from South Manchester, Macclesfield and Warrington. Members of Knutsford Vikings have the opportunity to swim at all levels of competition.

The club was formed in 1948 when men returning from the war wanted to form a team in the town to play in the newly formed Mid Cheshire Amateur League. Without a ground to play on a local farmer offered them part of his land on Manchester Road on the outskirts of the town.

Knutsford Hockey Club (KHC) was established in 1910 and is one of the oldest and most established sporting institutions in the town. It has been an important part of the social fabric of Knutsford for almost a century.

Brook Street Chapel is Knutsford's oldest place of worship and only Grade 1 listed building. It was built in 1689 after the "Act of Toleration" and is a member of The Unitarian and Free Christian Churches. Everyone is welcome at our services.

The church was built in the grounds of the old church in 1981, and boasts a modern octagonal design. It sits close to the centre of the historic market town of Knutsford, and adjacent to Tatton Park. It serves the local Roman Catholic community, and is a regular place of worship.

Freemasons in Knutsford did not have a purpose built Masonic Hall of their own until the late 1960s.The land and buildings which formed the Hall were donated by the Leicester-Warren family and consisted of an old traditional Cheshire farm ‘shippon’.

The Knutsford Town Council is the parish authority for the town of Knutsford and represents the residents and businesses within the Knutsford Parish area. 15 Councillors are elected every four years in the town's four wards - Bexton, Nether Knutsford, Norbury Booths and Over. The Town Council was established in 1974 when it replaced the Knutsford Urban District Council, following a reorganisation of Local Government.

Knutsford Community First Responder Trust was formed 3 years ago and is run completely by volunteers. The First Responders run in association with The North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Whenever a person dials 999 for an ambulance, within a 6 mile radius of Knutsford, the volunteer Responder on duty is paged at the same time as an ambulance is dispatched.

The KPS is a small, friendly group of amateur photographers, who, although we'll have a go at most things, don't always take ourselves too seriously.Knutsford, an old Cheshire market town, received its Royal Charter in 1292. Its Photographic Society also has a comparatively long history; its precise origins have become lost in the mists of time, but we know it went through a revival after the Second World War and is going strong some 60+ years later.
