The best performing primary schools in Cheshire have been revealed following SATs results published by the Department of Education.

64% of children are meeting the ‘expected standard’ in reading, writing and maths across Cheshire, exceeding the national average of 61%.

Lower Peover achieved a rate of 91% and Peover Superior achieved 89%, two of the best results in Cheshire. Bexton was the best performing school in Knursford, at a rate of 69%.

  • Lower Peover CE Primary School – 91%
  • Peover Superior Endowed Primary School – 89%
  • Chelford CofE Primary School – 86%
  • Goostrey Community Primary School – 84%
  • High Legh Primary School – 80%
  • Holmes Chapel Primary School – 75%
  • Mobberley CofE Primary School – 70%
  • Bexton Primary School – 69%
  • Hermitage Primary School – 66%
  • St Vincent de Paul Catholic Primary School – 63%
  • Egerton Primary School – 62%
  • Manor Park Primary School – 59%
