Local charity Active Cheshire secures national funding for 3 years
Sport and physical activity charity Active Cheshire’s work has been recognised as outstanding, resulting in additional three year funding from Sport England.
The charity has also recruited a number of senior members from a varied background to their board including Martin Pearson as new Vice Chair for People/Performance, Susan Sellars DL as Senior Independent Director, Carol Clarke in development and Dr. Dan Bunstone, Chair of Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group.
The newly recruited board members come from a wide range of backgrounds, including business, health and strategic planning sectors.
Active Cheshire Board Chair, Paul Hancock said “We are delighted to have attracted such a diverse and talented range of trustees. Boasting a wealth of experience across variety of sectors, their unique perspectives and experience will help Active Cheshire to make big strides towards tackling in-activity in the region”.
