Man charged with drug offences following police raid in Congleton
An 18-year-old man from Liverpool has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs following a police raid in Congleton.
At around 9.05am on Monday 30 April officers executed a warrant at an address in Dale Crescent.
Peter Smith, of Priory Road, Liverpool, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply both cocaine and heroin as well as possessing criminal property.
He appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 1 May and was remanded in custody to await his next court appearance.
A 32-year-old man from Congleton was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs following the raid.
He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
