Team behind Freemasons Knutsford set for Liverpool launch

By on August 20, 2018

The team behind popular restaurant Freemasons Knutsford is opening a second venue in Liverpool.

Co-owner Ross Pollock opened his first restaurant in December 2015 in Knutsford. In just under three years, the restaurant has moved up the rankings on TripAdvisor and is now one of the top restaurants in all of Cheshire.

Now, Ross Pollock and his partner Chris are opening a venue called The Arthouse in Liverpool, a creative co-working space that houses flexible art studios, an art gallery, a bar and a restaurant.

However, despite investing a lot into the new venue, they need to raise £45,000 on Kickstarter to give the project a final push.

Ross Pollock, Director of Freemasons Knutsford and Arthouse said: “We’re really excited to be bringing this concept to Liverpool, it’s about bridging the arts with mainstream hospitality – making it more accessible and more relaxed for the everyday person.

“A huge part of future plan is to provide art therapy which will be extremely beneficial for those affected by learning difficulties, Alzheimer’s, dementia, anxiety, autism, cancer and ptsd.

“Our aim so to operate with the commercial interest of a top tier bar and restaurant space but with an undercurrent of notforprofit attitude, that benefits the public.”

Customers who back the Kickstarter will recieve gifts in return, for example vouchers for afternoon tea, a cocktail masterclass, a signed canvas, cocktail tray or even a seat at the board.
