£25k raised for charity by Saks Knutsford
The franchise owner of Saks Knutsford has raised £25,000 for The Eve Appeal.
Paula Wood took part in the Go Red fundraiser, along with her husband Mark, which saw 40 people trek across the Peak District, starting and ending in Catleton. The trek was to mark the end of gynaecological cancer awareness month.
“It was a beautiful day, and the trek was a lot of fun,” said Paula, who has raised £416 from donations from clients, friends and family. “We are continually fundraising for the Eve Appeal, and in total Saks has raised more than £125,000. Every day in the UK 58 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer, and 21 will die – The Eve Appeal is determined to change this. They are the only national charity on a mission to raise awareness and funds to protect women from these cancers.”
