Project 53 moves in to Minshull Street

By on October 19, 2018

Mobberley Brewhouse takes up residence in Knutsford with the opening of their second Tap Room, Project 53 Knutsford.

Following the successful launch of its sister Tap Room in Stockport earlier this year, Project 53 Knutsford launches at 12noon on Friday 26th October. The newly developed Tap Room spans 2 plots on Minshull Street where the former ‘Tap & Bottle’ and ‘The Shed’ once resided. As well as a major refurbishment of the site, investment has been made to install a bespoke open-front kitchen upstairs which will serve hand-made pizzas.

Specialising in craft beer and gin, customers will have a choice of 11 keg beers and 3 cask beers as well as over 30 different gins. For those who don’t drink beer or gin, Project 53 has a selection of cider, spirits and wine. Operations Director Sophie Roberts told us,

“The style of the bar is shabby chic meets perfection. The first impression is quite urban with the exposed brickwork and industrial lighting, but on closer inspection you can see the perfection in every detail. We have gone to great lengths to create a bar where everything is just right: the atmosphere, the staff, and of course the drinks.”

For those who are keen to get a first taste of the Project 53 experience, there is a soft opening on Thursday evening from 6pm. The doors will then officially open at 12noon on Friday 26th October followed by a launch party in the evening to which everyone is welcome.
