By on October 22, 2018

Police are appealing for information following an incident in Knutsford.

Sometime between 3.30pm and 3.40pm on 11 October a woman was walking along Blackhill Lane with her son when she noticed a man following her. He continued to follow her onto Bexton Road. She stopped and the man then touched her inappropriately and ran off toward Blackhill Lane.

The suspect is described as white, in his late teens, possibly 18 and of slight build. He is approximately 5’ 10” tall with brown wavy mid-brown hair which was not long, but long enough to be poking out of the black beanie hat he was wearing. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark top.

PC Ben Harrington said: “The victim was clearly disturbed by the behaviour of this man who had been walking behind her unnoticed until she stopped. I would urge anyone who recognises to description of the suspect, or has any information to contact me.

“I’d like to reassure residents that this appears to be an isolated incident and we have not had any other similar reports recently.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Ben Harrington on 101 or via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries/ making sure you quote IML 209365. Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
