Bluedot Festival – July 18-21 2019

Held at Jodrella Bank Observatory, Bluedot offers music, science and culture.

Kraftwerk will be headlining in 2019, performing their critically acclaimed 3-D show in their first UK headliner. The festival will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landings.

Delamere Forest summer gigs – June 21-23 2019

Singer Jess Glynne, 80s band Tears for Fears and Paul Weller are lined up for the three day outdoor woodland festival at Delamere Forest.

All proceeds raised from each gig’s ticket sales helps to look after the nation’s forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.

Creamfields – August 22-25 2019

Held every year at Daresbury, the UK’s biggest dance music festival takes place on August bank holiday.

Featuring EDM, techno, drum and bass, trance, grime and more – including Swedish House Mafia who will headline their only UK show of 2019.

Geronimo Fest – May 24-27 2019

Dubbed ‘Glastonbury for Kids’, Geronimo caters solely to children, allowing families to connect in a ‘fairytale existence’ for an amazing weekend.

The event is being held in the grounds of Arley Hall near Northwich.

DogFest – June 15-16 2019

DogFest will be taking place in Tatton Park next year with celebrity vet Noel Fitzpatrick and Crufts presenter Clare Balding in attendance. There will also be dog displays, live music, educational sessions, street food and activities. Obviously dogs are welcome!

Car Fest North – July 26-28 2019

Chris Evans’ Car Fest North will be held on the Bolesworth Estate near Tattenhall. Confirmed music acts so far include Beverley Knight, The Jacksons, Faithless, All Saints, Jools Holland, Texas and Clean Bandit- plus many more. There will also be food, showjumping and other entertainment.

Macclesfield Festival – July 20 2019

The event at Macclesfield Rugby Club, offers a fun packed day with activities for kids and adults and great music, with Soul II already confirmed to perform.

Neighbourhood Weekender – May 25-26 2019

George Ezra, Richard Ashcroft and Embrace are all set to play this popular music festival in Warrington.

Pride events – Various dates

Cheshire plays host to a number of annual events that celebrate the LGBT+ communities in the county. Here are some happening in 2019:

  • Cheshire East Council is hosting Pride in the Park on June 29 in Crewe.
  • Macclesfield looks set to recreate the success of last year’s Macc Pride festival (date TBC)
  • Chester Pride returns to the city on August 10 at Castle Square. More details are to be announced.
