Appeal for witnesses after fatal collision in Wilmslow

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Dean Row Road, Wilmslow.

The incident happened at 5.40pm on Monday 4 February and involved a silver Peugeot 206 and a pedestrian. Sadly, the pedestrian, a 44-year-old woman from Wilmslow, died as a result of her injuries in hospital.

Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers at this time.

A 52-year-old man from Wilmslow has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody at this time.
