Cheshire Euromillions winner has less than a month to come forward

By on February 10, 2019

People living in Cheshire East – Crewe, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Nantwich and Wilmslow – are being encouraged to check their lottery tickets as a £1 million prize remains unclaimed.

The mystery winner has just one month left to claim their prize by 10th March 2019, with the National Lottery narrowing down that the ticket was bought in the Cheshire area.

The prize is part of The National Lottery’s Millionaire Maker game.

The National Lottery are encouraging players to check their tickets – particularly those in Cheshire – as £1million pound prize remains unclaimed.

The EuroMillions draw was made on September 11 2018 with the winning Millionaire Maker code VHVT 0208.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money. We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding. This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”

If the money is left unclaimed, the prize money and the interest generated will go to help National Lottery funded projects across the UK. It’s estimated that each week £30 million is raised by lottery players, used to help change the lives of individuals and committees.

In Cheshire East, 1,500 National Lottery grants have been awarded.

With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket

Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050  or email help@national-lottery.co.uk
