Cheshire and Warrington ramps up business support
Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has started 2019 with the integration of the Growth Hub, a service that works with businesses to accelerate innovation, skills and growth.
The Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub is a government-backed service that is part of a 38-strong national network and supports the LEP’s priorities of growing the sub-region’s economy through the attraction of inward investment, helping existing local businesses to grow and increasing skills and innovation levels across Cheshire and Warrington.
Andy Devaney joined the LEP in January as Business & Innovation Director, leading the development of the Growth Hub in to its next phase. Andy brings a wealth of experience to the role having held a similar position with Liverpool City-Region for the past 6 years. The Growth Hub team provide bespoke support to businesses at every stage of their growth journey from start-ups to large business “Business Growth and Innovation is critical to the future of the Cheshire and Warrington economy if we are to realise our ambitions of creating new jobs and ensuring our region’s position as one of the UK’s most attractive places in which to live, work and invest.” said Andy Devaney.
Other members of the Growth Hub team include Kerry Hall, Enquiry & Engagement Manager; Paul Chapman, Growth Support Broker; Liam Fisher, Senior Account Manager and Rachael Zaidel-Lamb, Engagement and Communications Officer.

As part of a Growth Hub network, the team can provide unrivalled local knowledge of the support that is available across business growth challenge areas such as skills, marketing and innovation. The national network gives the added benefit of being able to connect local businesses in to national and international programmes working with partners such as the Department for International Trade.”
The Growth Hub’s website, www.candwgrowthhub.co.uk , provides valuable information and fact sheets for businesses that want to learn more about topics such as grants, export or tax for example, and provide 1:1 support by calling 0333 or access government contracts and there’s also hundreds of factsheets in an online library covering areas such as export and tax.
