Wine and Wallop in Knutsford Launches New Spring Menu

By on March 29, 2019

Wine and Wallop, Knutsford is your definitive wine bar, ale house and eatery. Partnered with ‘Wine and Wallop’ and ‘Folk’ in Didsbury, their Knutsford branch has become a popular destination amongst locals, despite only opening its doors less than one year ago. Nestled on the main high street in Knutsford town centre, it’s set across three floors, and its quirky decor and fantastic sun terrace has made it a must-visit and highly-Instagrammable location.

However, perhaps the most Instagrammable thing at Wine and Wallop is the food. The new menu will be launching this weekend, and with a nod to more unusual cuisine, it’s a unique place to come and dine in the South Manchester area. They source the food locally where possible, and all food is made on-site.

The menu, created by a highly experienced team of chefs, reflects the quirkiness of the decor at Wine and Wallop, and the food is sourced locally where possible. In addition to the current menu, new dishes include seasonal asparagus with chorizo, served with a crispy pheasant egg; rump of lamb served with a lamb rosti, spring green vegetables, tapenade, finished with a lamb sauce; and crisp skin stone bass, served with a white bean broth, artichoke, wild garlic pesto and tempura octopus. As you can see, the food is out of the ordinary, quirky and offbeat, and is a real talking point amongst our guests.

Wine and Wallop are also specialists in wine, as the name suggests, and have hundreds of wines to choose from. The front of house staff at Wine and Wallop are highly trained when it comes to wine, and can provide you with guidance for what wine would suit your meal choice.

But if wine isn’t your thing, worry not as they also offer lots of craft beers, including Knutsford’s very own Tatton Brewery ale. There’s also a great cocktail menu on offer.
