Supper Club Success for Knutsford Market

Knutsford Market Hall held its first supper club on 25th April.
The small and intimate evening was a complete success. 20 people had pre-booked tickets for an evening of beautiful wines and food. Ollie and Steph Chadwick of the Market Café used Ollie’s background in French cooking and devised a menu with a Gallic slant. The meal was complimented with a glass of fizz on arrival and wines specially selected by Morgan Edwards available to purchase on the night. The menu used fresh ingredients sourced from fellow traders in the market hall including Mike’s Poultry and Provisions, Edwards and Emmess butchers and Jonty’s Fruit and Veg making the ‘club’ a true team effort.
Ollie Chadwick said, “We love what we do here in the Market Café, producing top quality food in a very small space! The Supper Club was a great success – it really showcased what a hidden gem the Market is. We have some top-quality traders in our market and the menu made use of everything we have to offer the community. If the club helps bring people to the market who don’t normally visit, then that is an added bonus.”
There was a small raffle to raise funds for Knutsford’s Royal May Day and a pair of tickets to Pub in the Park’s lazy Sunday session was won by one lucky diner. Another club is planned for June with a menu yet to be decided although again it will make use of the fresh produce in the market. Numbers will again be limited to 20 to keep the evening small and friendly. Tickets for the next club will be available soon from Morgan Edwards or The Market Café.
Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. The Market Café also open on Wednesday. Shoppers at Knutsford Market can find everything for dinner from, fruit and veg, wine and a great range of meat, poultry and fish. There is a café and you can buy women’s and children’s clothing and accessories and gifts. Alongside this is a photography stall offering a full range of both consumer and corporate photography services.
