Plastic Free Weigh now at Knutsford Market Hall

By on May 20, 2019

A new business has opened at Knutsford Market Hall that  supports plastic-free and low-packaging shopping.

Knutsford Guardian:

Charlene Stuart decided to open The Plastic Free Wight to support this after being inspired by her son Harrison, who is passionate about the environment.

She said: “My son feels strongly that we need to do things differently for his generation,” said Charlene. I realised the way we shopped was not environmentally friendly, and there was nothing in our area that would support plastic-free and low-package shopping. “Our business is special as it helps to support people to make eco-friendly and environmentally-conscious decisions in the way they live.”

The official opening was carried out by town mayor Cllr Peter Coan.

The Plastic Free Weigh will be open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and plan to have a website and offer click and collect in the near future.
