Knutsford Market has lots planned for the national Love your Local Market fortnight which begins on 17th May.

Kicking things off will be Egerton Primary School Choir performing in front of the traders, shoppers and Knutsford Town Mayor and Mayoress Councillor Peter Coan and Ann Coan.  The next day will be a ‘sample’ day with promotional staff walking around the town centre with samples from all the traders whether it is food and drink or a voucher or balloon.  Throughout the promotion, there will be a competition inviting visitors to the market to ‘Guess the baby trader’ from a range of photos. The £1 entry fee will be given to the Market’s chosen charity Knutsford Royal May Day and the winner will be presented with a bottle of fizz from Morgan Edwards.  On Saturday 25th May, there will be a face painter, in residence, for children to enjoy.

Sandra Curties, Town Centre Manager, said, “We love LYLM and we hope the additional promotion will encourage shoppers, existing and current to visit their local market.  We really are a hidden gem offering a range of produce and products. Not everyone realises you can pre-order and collect and for a minimum order value many traders will deliver.  We hope LYLM helps the community realise you can shop local and still have the convenience of on line shopping. So, pop in and give us a try!”

Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. The Market Café also open on Wednesday. Shoppers at Knutsford Market can find everything for dinner from, fruit and veg, wine and a great range of meat, poultry and fish.  There is a café and you can buy women’s and children’s clothing and accessories and gifts. There is also a stall offering a weigh and save and eco products. Alongside this
