New Lidl store for Cheshire

By on July 15, 2019

A new Lidl supermarket is coming to Wilmslow, with customers invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening on Thursday, July 18 at 8am.

The store will open in the Summerfield Village Centre at Dean Row Road, the site of the supermarket’s previous store which was demolished along with a nearby fitness fitness club to build the new store. The store has a 1,567-square metre sales area, and includes an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, a customer toilet, baby changing and ample parking for cars and bicycles.

Customers will have the chance to sample some of Lidl’s products throughout the day, along with exclusive deals and offers on selected products for the first week of opening.

The new supermarket forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the UK, which will see it open up to 50 new stores a year.

Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Dominic Bryan, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in improving our Lidl store in Wilmslow. It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi award-winning products to the community once again.”
