Mobberley Summer fair pulls the community together.

By on June 25, 2009

The annual Mobberley CE Primary School Summer Fair was a great success and even the threat of rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Amongst the many things to do, members of Sale Sharks organised a display and mini drills for the children.

Mobberley’s community police car joined the event, with the shriek of the police siren almost as loud as the shrieks of glee from the children who sat in the car and pushed the siren button! The audience of mums, dads, relatives and friends were treated to Hornpipe, Maypole and Street Dancing from some of the school children, whilst the younger children enjoyed the roundabout rides.

We would like to thank our community for supporting this event, in particular Dave walker from the Ark Veterinary Surgery who took time out of his busy schedule to run a Teddy Bears Surgery and judge the Fancy Dress. The afternoon culminated in the School House Teams Tug of War and was won this year by Mallory House. Many thanks to Mr Norbury for providing extra parking in his field.
