Calling all budding journalists!!
Lovers of Cheshire’s countryside have until November 30th to write in to the Cheshire Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England with a 250-word article about their favourite spot in Cheshire, and how they would feel if it was under threat. The competition is open to adults and children.
Becca Nelson, from CPRE Cheshire, commented ‘recent research has shown that living near to a green space has a positive effect on health but all too often our green spaces are under threat of inappropriate development. We want to hear about your favourite spot in Cheshire – whether it’s a sweeping rural landscape or a small urban green space where your kids climb trees and make dens, or where you can escape the rat race at lunchtime!’.
Contact the Branch office on 01606 835046 to request an application form, or download one from www.cprecheshire.org.uk.
