Tabley House Carol Concert
The Concert is at 7.30pm on Tuesday 8th December and will be in the delightful old chapel at Tabley House. As usual, it will include carols and seasonal readings, both sacred and secular. There will also be a variety of choral offerings from the Border Singers, back again by popular demand. Another tradition that helps to ensure the popularity of Tabley’s Carol Concert is the custom of finishing the evening with mince-pies and a glass of wine!
“The setting for the concert is even more than usually appropriate this year, as the refurbishment of the chapel itself is our next project”, said Nick Payne, Chairman of the Friends. “I do hope people buy their tickets early this year, as there was quite a crush for tickets on the night last year, and we nearly had to turn people away!”
Tickets for the Concert are £12 (£10 for Friends) and are available from Pat Sheppard on 01625 861 533.
The Friends are also finalising their programme of events for the first half of next year and will announce these early in the New Year. “These events, whether they’re lectures, concerts or visits to houses or galleries, are always hugely enjoyable” said Nick Payne “and they will go a long way to raising the money for the Chapel project”.
