Knutsford IT – Supporting the ATC & Help For Heroes
Corporal Jordan Vincent of Knutsford collected the cheque on behalf of the Knutsford ATC.
Speaking about his involvement in the ATC Jordan said “So far in my 3 years of being in the air cadets I have been able to experience many different things; doing aerobatics, jumping out of a plane at 3500ft and walking 100 miles in 4 days in a world famous event called Nijmegen in Holland.
The ATC has allowed me to undertake a gliding scholarship to achieve my solo wings. I am also climbing Mount Snowdon in aid of Help for Heroes, in addition to working towards my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. At the age of 16 I feel like I have achieved a lot with the ATC and with 3 years left I have plenty of time to take part in more”.
The ATC enjoy a range of activities including flying, gliding, shooting, climbing, camping, residential visits, all sports & social events. The ATC parade each Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Knutsford. If you are interested in joining the ATC and you’re under 18 and over the age of 13 take a look at the ATC’s Knutsford website and read more about what they can offer: http://sites.google.com/site/2056atc/
