By on September 21, 2010

Fancy freshly baked bread with lashings of local honey? Or maybe a bacon butty is more you?  You can get both at the new farmers’ market launching this Saturday at The Bears Head, Brereton Green (just off the A50) 10.00am to 2.00pm

All traders are local to the area and include homemade jams and chutneys from Holly Cottage based in Wistaston, fabulous beef, lamb and pork from Ken Webb’s Traditional Farmhouse Beef at Nether Peover; Honey from Wheelock; Cheshire Cheese from Malpas; to-die-for-cakes and cupcakes;  Fabulous deep-filled pies, plus Dips and Chutneys from just round the corner at Somerford; not to mention plants from Elworth – the list goes on and you’ll find one or two surprises as well!

Each month the stallholders and The Bears Head will donate one item each to a hamper to be raffled off with all the proceeds going to St Oswald’s Church, Brereton.

The farmers’ market will be held once a month on the fourth Saturday between 10.00am and 2.00pm Click here for directions
