Operation Antisocial Cleanup
My Name is Greg Bithell I am a Police Community Support Officer for Knutsford Town Centre and Bexton area.
A large part of my role is to tackle Anti Social Behaviour which ranges from aggressive, intimidating or destructive activity that damages or destroys another person’s quality of life.
The Moor In Knutsford is a picturesque part of our town which attracts many visitors who often use the facilities such as the Picnic Benches and the Play area.
Unfortunately we have been getting an increase in the amounts of graffiti that is appearing around the Town Centre but especially on The Moor. We are currently taking action to catch the culprits and with your help and information I’m sure we will.
In order to clean up the graffiti I spoke to the Probation Service for Cheshire East and arranged for the Low Risk Community Payback Team to attend the Moor and remove the Graffiti. On Sunday 26th September 2010 at 10am the team worked hard and they were a great success.
This was also a good way of showing the residents and visitors to Knutsford the positive work that the Probation Service are involved in.
