New Knutsford Neighbourhood Policing Inspector

By on April 19, 2011

A new face has joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team at Knutsford. Inspector Steve Griffiths spent nearly 15 years policing the Eastern area of Cheshire having been stationed at Congleton, Crewe and Macclesfield.

He has taken over the reins from Insp Kate Woods and is looking to build on the good work she has done. Insp Griffiths said: “I am very pleased to be taking up this vital role and look forward to meeting people in the community.

“I want to continue to work with the local community, council and other agencies to make people feel safe and be safe.”

The team under Insp Griffiths is made up of dedicated Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Special Constables and Police Staff who work 24/7 to contribute to tackling the issues that matter.

Insp Griffiths said: “While we do all we can to protect the public and bring offenders to justice, we rely on the important role residents and local businesses play. It is vital that they tell us about issues affecting them so that we can do something about it.

“I would encourage anybody to come forward to tell us of any matters concerning them either by telephone, letter or coming into the Police station to discuss them.”
