Top TV chefs at the Cheshire County Show
TWO ‘Great British’ chefs will put on a culinary master class for the public at this year’s Cheshire County Show.
Top TV Chef’s Nigel Haworth and Lisa Allen will deliver a mouth-watering live cookery demonstration for show visitors in the Roberts Bakery Food Hall and Food Live Theatre. Nigel, chef proprietor of the acclaimed Michelin star Northcote Hotel in Lancashire, has twice been a finalist on BBC2’s ‘Great British Menu’ and is a regular face on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen.
He is passionate about supporting local food growers, farmers and producers. Lisa – Nigel’s head chef at Northcote – is also regarded as one of Britain’s most talented young chefs and has reached the final of the Great British Menu in 2010 and 2011.
As well as preparing some of their favourite dishes the pair will chat to the crowds on Tuesday, June 21. This year, over a hundred food producers from Cheshire and across the UK are expected display tasty treats for the public to enjoy in the Roberts Bakery Food Hall.
In the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre some of the North West’s top food experts will give live cookery demonstrations showing how to produce a range of delicious dishes.
Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire County Show, said: “To have not one but two of Britain’s top chefs coming on the Tuesday of the show is extremely exciting and I’m sure food lovers will really enjoy the demonstration.”
