Bexton Nursery Gets a Free Makeover

By on October 18, 2011

(Left to right: a before and after look of Bexton Pre-School Nursery’s website, which is now much more inviting, and is already enabling more effective communication between the pre-school, parents and the wider community.)

Bexton Pre-School Nursery, a well renowned and highly regarded establishment in Knutsford, providing early years education for 2-4 year olds, recently saw its new website go live as the result of sponsorship from a local business.

Having only gone live in September, the site is already enabling more effective communication between the pre-school and parents, has prompted other local businesses connected with the nursery to set up links to the site, and now reflects the excellence of the educational provision; rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

After a conversation with the Pre-School Manager Mrs Janet Weston, about the lack of funds to promote the nursery, Knutsford based graphic designer, Dave Bradburn of Opus Creative Design, whose daughter currently attends Bexton Pre-School Nursery, offered to create a more welcoming, user-friendly website, with no charge for his design fees.

Mrs Weston comments “We are so pleased to have a website through which we can easily provide all the information for current parents and those looking to place their children. I’m especially amazed at how my hand-written documents have been turned by Dave into lively, vibrant and informative web pages, and compared to the previous site, now gives a much more accurate picture of the excellent facilities and education that we aim to provide for the children. We have had brilliant feedback from everyone who’s seen it so far”.

A website such as the new Bexton Pre-School Nursery design would usually cost several hundred pounds, due to the time and expertise in the educational sector required. However, Dave comments “As a parent it is clear to see that the pre-school is a fantastic establishment. It is a registered charity run by a committee of parents and staff who constantly work hard to provide a warm and nurturing environment for the children, and I felt this was a small way in which I could help.”

The new website has raised Bexton Pre-School Nursery’s profile and has already resulted in a significant increase in the number of enquiries and the length of the waiting list for places!
The new website can be seen at  www.bextonpreschool.co.uk.
