Coming on leaps and bounds!

By on February 20, 2013

Gym GirlsFebruary 10th saw Gymfinity Gymnastics heading to City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club, with Club Owner Ruth Chapman and Squad Coach Christina Duckers fielding their first ever team to compete in Grades.

The day proved an overwhelming success for the fledgling club, which has now been running for just over 2 years out of Egerton Youth Club. In the out of age category, 8 year olds Maya Ashcroft and Milana Marsden-Taylor both passed their Grade 14, as did 9 year old Sophie Baldwin who also achieved a distinction.

The in age category saw spectacular performances from 7 year olds Emma Routs and Mia Platt, resulting in an overwhelming 1st and 2nd place for the Gymfinity girls. Along with their Gold and Silver Medals, Emma and Mia have now qualified to be in the Cheshire and Merseyside team, competing in the Northwest Finals in Wigan later this month.

The hard work of all the girls and the immense dedication of their coaches has been rewarded with an impressive first major competition, as shown by the recognition of the judging panel.

Gymfinity Owner Ruth Chapman is extremely proud of the whole squad and is hugely grateful for the boundless efforts of their Coach Christina.
