Aldi Knutsford: Forty new jobs!
ALDI has announced its new store on Brook Street, Knutsford will create 40 new jobs for the area when it opens on 27 June 2013. It has also pledged to offer a strong level of support into the town with a range of community based initiatives.
A recruitment day, being held on Friday 17th May 2013 at the Civic Centre, Knutsford, will give local residents who would like to work at the store an opportunity to discuss the many roles that will be on offer. The new store manager, Mike Taylor, and a number of other Aldi representatives will be on hand at the Civic Centre from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
Offering market-leading salaries which range from circa £8-£9 per hour, Aldi is looking for people with excellent customer service skills and a passion to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Positions available include store and stock assistants both part time (15+ hours/week) and full time. Key responsibilities for successful candidates include: accurate and efficient till operation; stock management and merchandising. Full training will be provided over a 12 week period.
A number of community based initiatives have also been agreed including the support of local schools’ fund raising events over the summer.
The new 990 sqm store has been sympathetically designed to complement the historic nature of the town and will stock a wide range of food and non-food items, as well as weekly specials available on a Thursday and Sunday.

Aldi is also keen to stress its commitment to the community, by hosting a recruitment day on Friday 17th May 2013 to offer a range of employment opportunities to local residents, and through the many community initiatives that we will be taking forward over the next few months.”
Aldi offers a range of award-winning, speciality wines and cheeses, as well as fresh fruit and veg and fair trade products. Each week, customers can also benefit from Aldi’s Super 6 promotion, with six fruit and veg products available at low prices.
Aldi shoppers will benefit from up to 90 minutes of free parking in the 94 spaces that will be provided.
The new Aldi store on Brook Street, Knutsford, WA16 8BN will be open:
Monday – Saturday 8.00am – 9.00pm
Sunday 10.00am – 4.00pm
