Heritage Open Day programme launches for 2017

By on July 30, 2017

Knutsford Promenades community association and Heritage Open Days have again joined forces to launch an amazing programme of events this September.

Between 7th-10th September 2017 over 40 events will be taking place including experiences and activities around the life of Alan Turing, magic at Brassierie Blanc, art, financial talks, coding and many other historic and heritage activities. A full list of events can be found on the Heritage Open Days website.

Sarah Flannery, Knutsford Promenades chairman, said: “Last year we took the step of tying in with Heritage Open Days. It’s England’s largest heritage festival and a lot of the aims are the same as ours – treasure your treasures.

“Last year we put on 32 events and welcomed 4,000 visitors. It was a learning curve. We opened up the courthouse before any work had been done and we realised the vast majority of visitors didn’t realise that Alan Turing had been tried in Knutsford.
