No decision has yet been made on who will be responsible for Knutsford’s CCTV contract.
Knutsford Town Council have been given the choice of opting in or out of Cheshire East Council’s proposed CCTV contract.
The contract is for £13,300 per year and covers 11 camera’s in the town, seven of which are funded by Knutsford Town Council. There were also discussions around how the cameras have worked to prevent and address crime in the area as well as other options such as upgrading equipment and temporary camera through a 4G network.
A decision is likely to be made at the next meeting in January where councillors will also discuss 2018/19’s town budget.
