Grants available from Manchester Airport for Knutsford not for profits

Each year the Manchester Airports Group contributes £100,000 to the fund, which supports neighbourhood and community projects around a 10 mile radius of the airport, concentrating on areas most exposed to aircraft noise; as the fund is made up partly from fines levied on aircrafts who break the airport’s strict noise regulation.

The fund’s board of trustees – which include representatives from local borough councils – meet four times a year to discuss applications and has donated over £530,000 to eligible not for profits in Cheshire East since 1997. The next meeting will be held on 15th January 2018.
