Killing Time at Knutsford Little Theatre

By on February 19, 2010

Knutsford Little Theatre presents Richard Stockwell’s breathtaking thriller that brings together two strangers who each have their own agendas. They make an attractive pair; she is already recounting details of her unhappy marriage and violent husband. And he clearly has a story to tell too, if only to reveal what is in that mysterious briefcase on the table. Nothing is what it seems as the balance of power constantly shifts between them with each new revelation.

The sexual tension increases as the two conspirators reveal more and more of their true identities and the crimes and violence that have linked them in the past. The encounter becomes combative; each in turn is threatened, each alternates between being predator and prey… twist after unexpected twist leads this clever and challenging thriller to a gripping conclusion.

The play toured nationally in 1997 starring Dennis Waterman of ‘Minder’, ‘The Lives and Loves of a She-Devil’ and ‘New Tricks’ to name but a few and Glynis Barber, star of ‘Dempsey and Makepiece’ and, more recently, ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘The Royal’. It has since been revived twice in the UK as well as being produced in the USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, Denmark and India.

Killing Time runs from Wednesday 3rd until Saturday 6th of March. Doors open 7pm with curtain up at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 and may be reserved by contacting the Ticket Secretary on 01565 873515.
