Writing and Photo Competition.
Why not help the CPRE to highlight Cheshire’s green spaces by using your creative energy
If you have a favourite green space in Cheshire, CPRE Cheshire would like to hear from you – and if you send in a photo to or write a short article, you could see your words or pictures in print!
Alongside its annual writing competition, the charity is running a photography competition for the first time this year, and the aim of both is to encourage people to think about the green spaces that they value, and how they would feel if those green spaces were under threat from development.
Becca Nelson, Press & Membership officer for the charity, commented “CPRE exists to fight for our countryside – and we’re fortunate in Cheshire to have so many fantastic rural spots worth protecting! We want to hear from Cheshire residents about the place that’s most important to them.
It doesn’t need to be open countryside - we’re just as interested to hear about urban ‘breathing spaces’ – and we want to know what it is that they love about it. Send us an article (250 words maximum please!) or photo, along with a brief summary of what makes the place in the photo special to you.”
The competition is open to adults and children - you have until 16th October to enter your photos, and until the 31st of the same month to enter the writing competition. We welcome entries from schools and adult education writing groups.
