Derbyshire born, Val moved to Knutsford from Surrey 8 years ago. She has 2 sons and 7 grandchildren and began writing whilst moving house a dozen times with her army husband in the 1960's,70's and 80's.
She has a passion for radio and worked for Hospital Radio in Liverpool. She has contributed to a number of BBC radio and tv programmes, Manager of the Heritage Centre in 2003/4 and is still an active volunteer.
In 2003 she was a Finalist in the BBCi Presenter Competition. She works part-time for a local Estate Agent and as TV Extra. Val loves cats, cooking, clothes, croissants and cappucino, good conversation,walking in the park with the grandchildren.
