A Game of Two Halfs

What is it with the dendy boys not turning up until the referee has blown to kick off the 2nd half?!

With that they found themselves 1-0 thanks to a vary rare mistake by Dendys No.1 Rob Tilley who punched into thin air but there was alot less contributed in other ares of the field where there was no bite in midfield & lack of help for isolated Matty Morris up front.

Also a Guiness world record attempt was underway for the worst corner ever taken by a Dendy player. 6 players contributed to 8 unforgiveable awful corners. Then it was the turn of the second half where the mighty dendy woke up. The introduction of Si Nicholson replacing the injured Nick Brunker struck fear into the opponents back four which helped top marksman Matty Morris grab an equaliser followed up by another goal from Si Nicholson to go 2-1 up after increasing pressure.

Skipper Andy Currie upped his game which rubbed off on other players around him. However, old alts were by far out of the game when they struck a great equaliser from the underside of the bar to make it 2-2. Enter substitute Luke Watkin who tore the alts defence apart and had a hand in the final 2 goals from Martin Brunker with Leon White adding a fourth with a 60 yard run straight from warming the bench. Man of the match Si Lee for his brazilian flicks & playing in 3 positions. 3 points, job done.

East Cheshire Premier League - Old Alts A 2 V Mary Dendy 4
