With September 2010 fast approaching Knutsford Hockey Club has started the Centenary ball rolling by welcoming back its past members for a social.

On Saturday Knutsford Hockey Club welcomed back some of its past members via the first organised function of its kind.

Past members and their families firstly supported the Mens 1st XI in their game against Wrexham at Knutsford Leisure Centre and then made their way up to the Club's Clubhouse - Cross Town Bowling Club for a BBQ and chat about old times with its current members.

Old and new members mixed and discussed past times and how times have changed.  Since its inception in 1910 the Club has expanded, scaled down and re-expanded again.    There is now an official Ladies section to the Club.   The game of hockey itself has moved away from grass to astroturf and consequently the Club has changed its pitch from playing at Mereheath Lane on grass to the astroturf at Knutsford Leisure Centre.  And the Club's Clubhouse is now at Cross Town Bowling Club having moved away from Mereheath Lane.

Current and past members are reminded about the End of Season Annual Dinner & Awards Presentation.  This year to be held at Leicester Warren Hall, Bexton Lane on Saturday 20th March.   Tickets are only £28 and guests are welcome.   Places are limited so first come, first served.

Any past members who are still to get in contact with the Club are asked to contact Janice Tasho on 01565 631044.
