New season, New home.
The move brings together all sections of the Club under one umbrella and opens new opportunities for Knutsford Rugby.
The clubs new gym facility is already in place at Egerton and in addition they will have access to the new third generation training facilities now under development at the club.
Knutsford Rugby Club has grown dramatically since its inception in 2004, achieving the RFU Seal of Approval for the Junior Section (reflecting our continuing ability to provide a safe, effective, child-friendly club environment), two RFU Presidents XV awards for work within the Community and helping to raise over £60k to support the Wish Upon a Star Charity. The Club is currently being considered for the highly prestigious RFU Whole Club Seal of Approval Award.
“None of this would be possible without our inspired sponsors, committees, players, coaches, parents, volunteers and everyone associated with our club” said Knutsford Rugby Club Chairman, Gareth Walton.
The newly elected President of Knutsford Rugby Club, Tony Evans, also added high praise for the growing ambitions of the Club “At Egerton Youth Club we can build on the amazing success of the Club and promote a stronger playing platform for all age groups. It reflects an incredible opportunity for the Club to reach new heights”.
Knutsford’s first game of the season is away to Holmes Chapel in the Cheshire Plate on the 29th August, with the first home game of the new season kicking off at 3pm on Saturday September 5th 2009 at Egerton Youth Club, Mereheath Lane, Knutsford. All support is really welcome, with a fun day planned for everyone. For further details please visit www.knutsfordrugby.com.
