Where to park in Knutsford
Easily accessible by car from the motorway or surrounding areas, there are plenty of places to park in Knutsford whether you’re here for the day or a little longer.
There are over 600 parking spaces across 6 council controlled parking areas in Knutsford, all of which are available from 8am-6pm from Monday to Saturday (check individual sites for more details) and 8am-6pm on Sunday at the following locations:

- Old Market Place – WA16 6EX (12 spaces)

- Silk Mill Street – WA16 6DF (30 spaces)
- Tatton Street – WA16 5AG (144 spaces – please note vehicle height limit of 2.1 metres)
Disabled parking spaces are available at Booths, King Street and Princess Street.
Parking in Cheshire East Council car park, costs as little as 40p per hour in some locations, with RingGo mobile card payments available at all locations, allowing you to pay for parking with a credit or debit card rather than cash at a machine. When you park your car in an area with RingGo, simply use the smartphone app, call, send a text or go online to pay for your parking by phone. Please note that for use of RinGo, Cheshire East will apply to all transactions over 40pm from 1st August 2017.
Cheshire East’s Princess Street Car Park is free after 3pm to encourage local business and encourage shoppers to spend locally. If you’re going to be supermarket shopping in the local area then parking is also available at Waitrose, Aldi and The Co-operative Food.

Parking is also available at Knutsford Station (South) for £3 for 2 hours (45 spaces), Knutsford Station (North) for £3 for 2 hours (30 spaces) and Canute Place for £1 for 2 hours (22 spaces). Additional parking, run by the Tatton Estate, is available at Green Street (22 spaces) and Northwich Road (28 spaces). Visitors to Knutsford District Community Hospital can also benefit from 2 hours of free parking, this is not however available to the public who are not attending an appointment at the hospital.
If you’re visiting Tatton Park for the day or to attend an event, rest assured that there is a significant amount of parking available on site at the Knutsford Entrance of Tatton Park and at the Old Hall, with the main parking area near Tatton Park’s Mansion and Stableyard area. Coaches can enter Tatton Park for free, visitors with disabilities can enter for half price. The usual cost of vehicle entry at Tatton Park is £6 for card, motorbikes and mini-buses. By paying to enter the park you contribute towards the cost of conserving and maintaining Tatton Park.
