Lord Sugar motivates The Mere
Cheshire-based The Mere Golf Resort and Spa is launching an internal Apprentice-style challenge in preparation for the opening of its new five star spa in January.
Two teams will compete to devise an innovative launch strategy with the ultimate aim of achieving the best sales figures, and of course avoiding the fateful words, “You’re Fired!”
Team Elite, the boys’ team, is headed up by ‘entrepreneurial’ leader Tom Davies, who is the newly appointed Spa Director. Comprising of five male members, the team has decided to go with two eye catching advertising campaigns which they believe will enable them to win the competition.
The girls’ team is headed up by ‘The Brand’ Angela Perkins, business development manager at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa., Angela has selected the best sales team that The Mere has to offer and combined with a strategic corporate campaign, they will exploit this to edge past the boys.
The teams are competing for the chance to win the ultimate five star prize, a trip on the Orient Express.
Mark Boler, CEO and owner of The Mere Golf Resort and Spa comments: “Everyone loves The Apprentice and now it is back on our screens, we thought it would be a great way to motivate employees ahead of the launch of The Spa and to compete for a prize that will give them a taste of the five star standard of service we will offer.
“Utilising such a topical theme will enable the teams to educate both existing members and the local community of what they can expect from The Spa ahead of its forthcoming launch”
“With just a few weeks of build left of The Spa, time is ticking to become a member of the exclusive facilities, that promise will rival all other spas in the North of England. The Apprentice challenge promises to be a fun and I am confident that the two teams will perform well as no-one wants to hear “You’re Fired!”
