Anti Social Behaviour
The licensing trade and the NPT staff continue to work very closely in reducing the levels of violence and associated anti social behaviour relating to the night time economy.
As part of this support 90 % of all the pubs and restaurants across the Knutsford poling signed up this month to receive our monthly Neighbourhood Policing Team newsletter specific to their trade. This provides an overview of crime patterns/alert notices etc and allows a two way dialogue between all the involved parties and relays the efforts of the town centre’s successful Pub Watch scheme.
To also reinforce our commitment to target those who commit drunken offences I devised a warning letter which was personally served on all 12 individuals who are currently on Pubwatch bans.
The content of the letter made the subject aware of the recently implemented Drinking Banning Orders (similar to ASBOs but aimed at those who carry out low level disorder whilst under the influence of alcohol) and what powers we can now use if they continue to carry out any alcohol related crime or disorder.
