Frozen Mop Robbery
Appeal for witnesses after robbery at the Frozen Mop in Mobberley
Police investigating a robbery at the Frozen Mop in Faulkners Lane in Mobberley are appealing for information.
DS Rob Balfour said: “At 10.37pm on Thursday 4th August 2011 two men wearing balaclavas, dark clothes and gloves entered the pub demanding cash.
“The customers and staff were kept in one room while another made a member of staff handover cash.
“While no violence was used and no one was hurt, it was still a terrifying experience for the customers and staff.”
The men are described as being in their early 20s, slim build and around 6ft tall. They both had very strong Manchester accents.
It is believed they escaped in a vehicle.
