CCTV contract in Knutsford remains

By on January 11, 2018

CCTV will continue to be monitored in Knutsford for the next three years following a review of financial contributions to services across the town.

Following debate between Knutsford Town Council and Cheshire Police, the £13,000 cost of CCTV provision and monitoring in the town will be footed by the police service to support their crime prevention activities.

There is also the potential for additional mobile cameras in other areas of Knutsford.

Councillor Andrew Malloy said: “The police have said a number of times that this is about public safety. There is lots of technology here to help us.”
