Expansion plan for Mobberley Brewhouse

By on March 22, 2018

Following a significant growth in 2017, The Mobberley Brewhouse is ramping up production of their craft beers with the installation of a state-of- the-art canning line.

This coincides with ‘Batch 1000’, an imperial IPA, that will be released in limited quantity to celebrate the brewery’s 1000th brew.

Founder & CEO James Roberts said: “Last year we launched a range of keg and can beers and they’ve been incredibly well received. We have such a high demand for canned craft beer that we’ve decided to install our own canning line in the brewery. This means we can increase the efficiency & quality of production and deliver beer faster & fresher to our customers. We supply customers all around the UK and this will help us to keep up with the ever-growing demand for our beers.”

The craft beer industry has seen a large increase over the past few years and there are now over 2,000 breweries in the UK. The Mobberley Brewhouse is currently rated as being in the top 50 breweries for their keg & can offering.

Despite the increase in production, the Mobberley-based brewers keep their carbon footprint to an absolute minimum. James said: “It’s essential to us that we manage the impact on the environment. Every part of our waste production is recycled and reused: with our waste water, yeast and hops used to create electricity and fertiliser and malt taken to feed cattle on a local farm. All our one-way packaging, in the form of kegs and cans are made of completely recyclable materials.”

“We’re delighted with the growth we have experienced and the excitement that has surrounded our beers over the last 6 months and now we want to build on that. We have very exciting plans ahead so watch this space.”

The limited-edition Imperial IPA – Batch 1000 – will be 10% ABV. and will be available to buy from the Mobberley Brewhouse shop on Church Lane Mobberley.
