Cheshire’s first Academic Summer School to launch this year

By on April 2, 2018

Wilmslow based Peak Tuition will be offering Cheshire’s first summer school for children aged between 1 and 11 in Knutsford.

The summer school will launch at the end of July, offering an alternative to sports clubs or other activities. It was organised after a parent, who moved from London to Cheshire when a broadcaster relocated to MediaCity, commented that they were unable to find one locally when they are commonplace in London.

After exploring the options, Peak Tuition secured Knutsford Academy as a venue and put together an itinerary to provide academic challenge in a relaxed environment. There are also opportunities for fund activities such as picnics on the Moor and creative challenges.

Education Director, Daniel Coward, said: “We’re providing children with the opportunity to learn beyond the curriculum, to develop their intellect and to have fun doing so. It’s 6 weeks during the summer holidays where children can keep their minds active, take part in debates & become passionate about learning. It’s good news for parents too – many do not have the luxury of having the summer off work and are not keen about their children spending the entire summer holiday playing on games consoles.”
