More details announced about Knutsford Beer Festival
The 2018 Knutsford Beer Festival takes place on Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21st at Egerton Youth Club, Mereheath Lane, Knutsford and promises to be a spectacular celebration of beer, gin, prosecco, food and live music from Fine Lines, Merry Hell and Bad Dukes and Beggars.
A broad selection of beers, with the cask ales primarily coming from Cheshire breweries such as Tatton Brewery, Dunham Massey Brewing Co., Mobberley Brewhouse and Red Willow will be available along with a wide selection of styles from traditional bitter to spiced imperial stout. Seven Brothers, Tempest, Beartown and Track Brewery will be showcasing their beers. Highlights include a brand new beer from the multi award winning, Titanic Brewery. For the first time ever at Knutsford Beer Festival there will be keg beer. Forget the dreaded 1970’s kegs these beers represent the cutting-edge of UK brewing.
Knutsford’s Dexter and Jones will also be hosting a gin bar with the ever popular Manchester Gin, Hunters Cheshire Gin and Forest Gin. No festival would be complete without the fizz factor and prosecco will be provided by the Boxx, a renovated horsebox with vintage charm.
The Knutsford Beer Festival will be raising money for local charities which this year include Egerton Youth Club, Knutsford & District Scouts, Knutsford and District Royal British Legion in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of end of WW1.
Local businesses are sponsoring the event including Tatton Brewery, APC Overnight and main sponsors Bella Marketing and Design.
The Knutsford Beer Festival have teamed up again with the Knutsford & District Scouts to provide a mini-bus service to this year’s event, with volunteers from Scout Leaders driving Beer Festival goers from the town centre to the event.
