Knutsford Mayor’s charity big band night takes place this month

By on April 15, 2018

Cllr Neil Forbes is looking to continue to raise money for the Mayor’s charities with a jazz, swing and funk event this April.

His latest fundraising event is the Mayor’s Speakeasy Big Band Night on Friday, 27th April 2018 at St John’s Church in Knutsford.

All funds raised at the event will go to the Mayor’s charities – Knutsford Youth Orchestra, Knutsford Friendship Cafe and Mid-Cheshire Riding for the Disabled.

“This is sure to be a great night with jazz, swing and funk music from the Fish Lip Soup Big Band, featuring guest vocalist Jenn Clempner,” said Cllr Forbes.

“My fundraising year is ending, and I hope to have a great turnout to help me smash my fundraising target to raise money for local charities. Don’t worry – I won’t be on the stage!”

Tickets for the event will cost £12.50. Contact Annabel Irvine on annabel.irvine@knutsfordtowncouncilgov.uk or call 01565 653 929 for more information or to book.
