Knutsford boutique finalist in Drapers awards
Cocaranti boutique in Knutsford has been announced as a finalist int the Drapers Independents Awards 2018.
The retailer, which sells premium denim and designer clothing, has been nominated in the ‘Best Customer Experience’ category.
Owner Davina Armitage commented: “I bought the business in March 2018 but have been the Manager at Cocaranti since 2014. Just like a dress or pair of jeans, you could say I liked it so much I bought it! But it is especially exciting to achieve this recognition just three-months into officially owning Cocaranti. I am passionate about creating a truly great customer experience; I can count so many of my regular customers as good friends, both those who pop into the store or keep in touch over social media and this in turn gives me the confidence to try out the new and the different in terms of our collections, and helps to make shopping an exciting and fascinating experience for all our customers.”
She added: “Cocaranti is like an extension of my family, I want my customers to feel like they can come and have a browse without feeling any pressure to make a purchase.
“In fact, an important aspect of our customer service is that we are always honest with our customers about how something fits/looks. We would rather tell them if something isn’t looking right than them buy something that they are not 100% happy with. Even if it means that they don’t purchase anything that day, to us it is important that they can trust our opinions and advice. Likewise, I really value my customers’ opinions and often ask them their opinions on new brands that I am looking into and in fact two new brands we now stock, 360 Cashmere and J Brand, are a direct result of our customers’ influence.
“It is not unknown for me to do one off additional orders for customers if an item that they love has sold out, some customers will even ask us if we can get hold of an item for them that they have seen elsewhere as they would rather buy it from us.”
The winners of the Drapers Independent Awards 2018 will be revealed on 12th September during a glittering afternoon award ceremony in London where the retail fashion industry elite will come together to celebrate the sector’s achievements.
