Endangered animals close to artist’s heart

By on July 14, 2018

Local artist Lyndsey Keppel-Green is looking for funding for her first book, to raise awareness of endangered animals., through Kickstarter.

Lyndsey is looking to publish an illustrated alphabet of Feliforma, a sub-order of carnivorous mammals in her ‘A-Z of Feliforma’.

The 32-page book will feature 26 illustrations of different feliforms and includes facts about each animal, as well as how endangered they are according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

“This has been a project I have been working on and off on for a few years, and I am really excited to launch the Kickstarter and hopefully see the book published in the autumn,” Lyndsey said.

“My hope is that as well as enjoying the book it will remind people that there are so many species under threat of extinction and the importance of conservation and protecting our wildlife, both at home and across the world.”

You can find out more about the project and donate to the cause at lyndseygreen.co.uk/kickstarter until 31st July.
