Volunteers needed in Cheshire to raise hearing dog puppies

By on September 14, 2018

There’s an urgent appeal for volunteers to help raise puppies that will go on to work as hearing dogs for deaf people.

Volunteers are needed to provide a home for the puppy, support them in their training and can dedicate time to them.

Families look after them for around a year before they begin their hearing dog training, and there’s a shortage of people in Cheshire and Greater Manchester to help bring up puppies.

Without those volunteers it would mean deaf people are left without dogs that so many rely on.

Medical expenses, insurance, food, bedding, toys and equipment are provided along with extensive support and guidance.
